AGP was contracted to complete a full refurbishment of Tyne Tunnel’s commercial offices.
Using all Dulux trade materials, the project involved surface preparation, wall painting, wall covering services for the selected feature walls and the application of high-performance floor paint to the workshop floors.
There were three phases to the project which began in 2021 and was successfully completed in 2022.
The Tyne Tunnel offices were old and tired-looking and were in desperate need of a refurbishment.
A clear programme of work and risk assessment was required for this project, as the offices had to remain fully operational for employees around the clock.
Ensuring the safety of the Tyne Tunnel employees, our team and any other contractors working on-site was our number one priority. As the tunnel was in constant use, it was imperative that all hazardous and flammable products were handled with care.
The job required the refurbishment of hallways, corridors, office spaces, communal areas, workshops and washrooms. Before the work commenced, we needed to complete full surface preparation, including sanding and applying a primer and undercoat.
All walls were finished with quality emulsion paint and feature walls were wallpapered using eye-catching paper selected by the interior designer.
We also applied hard-wearing, high-performance floor paint to the workshop floors, which offered excellent abrasion resistance and a long-lasting solution.
